We have five cabins located on thirty
acres at our Main Location. This is where our office and
check-in are located. There are three cabins (#2, #3, #4)
located at the middle of the property, and two cabins located at
the back (#5 & #6). These cabins are a mix between two-person
and four person cabins, and two of them accept pets. The Main
location is great for groups traveling together, as the cabins
are all within easy walking distance from each other. We have
some walking trails on the property as well as two small stocked
fishing ponds (catch & release). This property is very centrally
located to the State Park areas and other local activities.
There is just one shared fire ring at the front of the property,
and each cabin has a lighted wildlife feeding area. If you will
be checking in after hours and are concerned about finding
another property on your own, this is the location for you. If
you have worries about driving in snow, you might do best to
stay right at this location where you check in. There is a
community phone on the front porch for local or calling card
use.

Front of High Rock Hideaways Property
The front area of High Rock Hideaways has several of our
newer cabins (#8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 17) scattered on a
wooded hillside along a shared driveway. All of these are
two-person one room cabins, and several accept pets. While most
of the cabins are easily accessible, several are challenging
enough that we strongly recommend four wheel drive year-round
and require it during the Winter at Cabins #8, #9, and #10. The
Cabins sit just off of Chapel Ridge Road for easy access to the
Park areas and other activities. Each cabin has it's own fire
pit or ring. Guests at High Rock can use the community phone at
the Main Location just down the road for local or calling card
use.

Back of High Rock Hideaways Property
Continuing well past the front area, the property takes on an
Appalachian feel, and you’ll pass several houses and trailers as
you drive back to the other cabins at the back of the property
(#15 & #16). You’ll often see chickens or ducks along the
driveway, and you’ll probably hear frogs at night and a rooster
or two in the morning. Both Cabins #15 & 16 overlook a one acre
pond and share it’s use for catch and release fishing. The pond
is home to many ducks and geese that we feed daily. During the
winter, you’ll be able to see another cabin, house, or trailer
from these two cabins, but the view is mostly obscured when the
leaves are on the trees. Because of the upkeep required on 224
acres and the fact that other people live on the property, you
may hear people mowing, traveling around the property, or
working on some construction project or another at the back of
this location, but we try to keep that to a minimum. Each cabin
has it's own fire pit or ring. Guests at High Rock can use the
community phone at the Main Location just down the road for
local or calling card use.

Bishop’s Ridge is 4.5 miles from the Main
Location, and sits back off the road with a long gravel
driveway. The Honeybee Hideaway (#11) sits by itself on five
acres at the front of the property, while the others are located
almost ½ mile down that shared drive. Our two six-person cabins
are located here, along with four two-person cabins, and several
accept pets. There is no overhead lighting on this property, and
you really feel like you are “out in the woods.” The cabins at
the back of the property are great for groups traveling
together, as they are within easy walking distance of each
other. Each cabin has a fire ring. Guests share an outside
community phone near the Honeybee for collect or calling card
use.

Sunset Ridge
Back
to map
The entrance to the Sunset Ridge property is open, rolling
meadow perfect for kite flying by day and star gazing at night.
Located on 80 acres, the cabin sits 1/2 mile off the road
nestled in the woods. This location has some of the most
beautiful sunsets in the Hocking Hills, and offers rock
formations and waterfalls for those who want to get out and
explore through the woods. The cabin is pet-friendly, and there
is a free-standing (not in the cabin) phone at the front of the
property for collect and calling card use.

The Game Bird is located on 110 acres, 4.5 miles from our
Main Office location. While sitting just off a county road, the
cottage is set back in an open grassy area that is ringed by
pine trees. Feel free to hike the private woods to find
beautiful forest views and rock formations, and enjoy spending
time down at the stocked fishing pond. With no overhead
lighting, this is a perfect location for stargazing! Old Man’s
Cave and Ash Cave are within five miles; Conkles Hollow is just
3 miles away.

The Tumbleweed is located just a mile down
the road from our Office and Main Location, and offers easy
access to the State Park areas and other attractions. It is
located on a fourteen acre, owner-occupied property and has a
stocked fishing pond. You’ll pass the owners home and garage on
your way back to the cabin, but the cabin sits back by itself in
a pine woods. When you are in your hot tub on the back deck, you
feel like you are in the tops of the pine trees! There is a
chiminea out in front of the cabin for a small fire, and guests
have the use of the Community phone at the Main Location for
collect and calling card use.

The Waterfall and Woodland Way are each
nestled on five-six wooded acres on adjoining properties. Each
sleeps four, and is much more rustic than our other offerings.
They are 4.5 miles from our Main Office location, and sit back
from a nicely maintained county road. The Waterfall cabin offers
hikers the chance to hike the property to find the wet-weather
waterfall, while Woodland Way has a large yard area out back
with walking trails through the rest of the property. Old Man’s
Cave and Ash Cave are within five miles; Conkles Hollow is just
3 miles away. Each cabin has it’s own fire ring, and a telephone
for collect or calling card use.
